“I will praise you O Lord, with all my heart...”
Love Never Fails
It was the morning of New Years Eve, I was doing a little dusting and
moving things around in anticipation of our children and grandchildren
arriving for dinner the next day. As I dusted the red and clear crystal
glass trophy our children gave us for our 40th wedding anniversary, I
reread the inscription. It says: To Mom & Dad, 40th Wedding
Anniversary, Love Never Fails. The trophy is so beautiful and
monumental to us. I call it, “our first grammy.”
The inscription “Love Never Fails” reminds me of the teaching in
Jeremiah 31:3, I have loved you with an everlasting love. What a timely
word for married couples. We can humbly care for our spouses based
on God’s love for us and not our emotions and feelings. We can love
each other through disagreements and disappointments. I John 4:16
says God is love. I encourage you to draw from God. When you do not
feel like displaying an attitude that says, I love you, to your spouse, ask
God to love your spouse through you. Always remember, Love Never
Fails. I Corinthians 13:8
Wait For The Lord
There are times when we, like children, hate not getting what we want.
Especially when we do not get it right now. Today I encourage you to
remain stationary in a ready position expecting to receive all of God’s
promises. He will not disappoint you or go back on his word. Stay
confident in your Heavenly Father.
Remain patient when the desired end is delayed. Like David, wait for
the Lord. Psalm 27
